Destiny 2: Rake Angle Stasis Glaive Headlines Revenant Update Arsenal Expansion

TL;DR: Destiny 2's upcoming Revenant update introduces the highly anticipated Stasis-themed glaive, Rake Angle, as part of a diverse new arsenal. Positioned in the Kinetic slot, this glaive is expected to enhance gameplay variety and may include the coveted Chill Clip perk for added advantage. Available in the Nightfall pool, Rake Angle offers adept versions in Grandmaster attempts, aligning with the update's Stasis focus. Despite previous disappointments with Heavy Winterbite Exotic, players eagerly await Rake Angle's release, driven by longstanding community demand for such weaponry.

Anticipated Stasis Glaive Arrives in Destiny 2's Revenant Update

Destiny 2 enthusiasts have long desired a Stasis-themed glaive, and with the upcoming Revenant episode, developer Bungie is set to grant this wish. But it’s not just the Stasis glaive catching players' attention, as the episode promises a host of fresh and distinct weapons.

Bungie Announces Rake Angle and a Host of New Weaponry

In a blog post released recently, Bungie offered players a glimpse into the cornucopia of new weaponry that will be a part of Destiny 2 following the initiation of Revenant next Tuesday. Among the most anticipated of these is the Stasis glaive dubbed Rake Angle, set to make an appearance in the Nightfall pool. It is expected to function similarly to the Judgment of Kelgorath from the Season of the Seraph—the initial Legendary to incorporate this frame type.

    An Expanded Arsenal for Players

The launch of Episode Revenant presents an opportune moment to introduce a Stasis glaive that uses green bricks. With the season promising an abundance of dark-blue element-aligning weapons and an array of Artifact mods, it seems fitting. Notably, it will mark the first instance of glaive availability in the Kinetic slot—paving the way for diverse loadout options and possibly setting a new standard for Strand or Kinetic damage weapon families.

Given Revenant’s Stasis-centric nature, there is speculation that Rake Angle might feature Chill Clip—a player-favorite advantage that impairs enemies with shots fired from the magazine’s top half. And with this new weapon joining the Nightfall pool, courageous guardians attempting Grandmasters could stand a chance to acquire an Adept version of Rake Angle.

The clamor for a Stasis glaive has been so prevalent that r/Destinythegame, the largest forum dedicated to the game, labeled it a cliched topic within a year post The Witch Queen’s launch. Bungie has semi-fulfilled these player desires with the introduction of the heavy Winterbite Exotic in the Lightfall series, although this fell short of user expectations.

Players will have access to Rake Angle in the Nightfall pool following the launch of Revenant on Tuesday. While it’s tough to pinpoint when it will be highlighted as the special weapon due to the weekly change in Nightfall rewards, players will have ample opportunities to hunt it down given the extended duration of episodes compared to seasons.
