  1. Wow, that's quite nice looking armour, though I feel like I might have seen something incredibly similar in Destiny ;). Kidding, but it does look a bit out there for your typical Halo armour! Good on them for having a bit of fun!
  2. The last shooter I truly enjoyed playing was CoD: Modern Warfare, it's a great game with a great solo campaign as well, and classic CoD controls. So much fun! Of the non-traditional variety, BioShock is an unbelievable series of games, not exactly FPS or Third person shooters, but fun and great stories!
  3. The Wii U has had most of its great games ported to the Switch at this point, but it has a fantastic library and it's a fun console to play, but there can be no denying that, as a console, it failed miserably by Nintendo standards. Do you think that the Wii U will always be regarded as a flop, or will it be a future classic, respected for what it was in its' time? I think it has a chance to be a future classic. It was a good console, just misnamed and poorly marketed, like the Sega Saturn.
  4. If you were taking a break from FPS and shooters in general, what's your favourite genre to play? For me, personally, I love action and adventure games, games that use your mind and require different skills to get through. They're fun and they usually tell a great story. Racing games are fun, as well, particularly games like Forza Horizon, they're very fun! What is your go-to for non-shooters?
  5. Do we have any video game collectors here? I've been collecting since I was quite young, so I've managed to amass a fairly large collection which I love. In particular I love my Sega Saturn and a fair few games for it, my original Xbox, and the N64. Mainly it's just nice to be able to go back in your memory, think of a game from your childhood you want to play, grab that game and go and play it! It's a wonderful feeling playing older games on their original hardware. As much as I love emulation and backwards compatibility, nothing beats the actual game on the actual hardware. Anyone else here collect?

    Hello!

Hi all, My name's Chris, I'm 33 and I've been an avid gamer for essentially my whole life. I'm also an avid video game collector, having amassed over 40 consoles and handhelds, and around 2,500 games. Outside of gaming I love to read and listen to music. For work I used to be a Java programmer, but quit that job in order to become a full time caregiver to my mother who has dementia. That's about it for me, it's good to meet you all and I look forward to interacting in the forums :)
