Guardians, gear up for an exciting update in the Destiny 2 universe! The much-anticipated expansion, The Final Shape, is not only concluding the epic Light and Dark saga but also expanding your arsenal's capacity. Here's what you need to know: More Room for Loot: A Vault Space Upgrade Bungie has confirmed an addition of 100 vault spaces for all players, elevating the total to a whopping 700 slots. This upgrade, announced in the March 26 devstream, is set to accompany the Into the Light update on April 9, with the vault expansion following in June. A Brief History of Vault Expansions This isn't the first vault space increase we've seen. Season 17 saw a jump to 600 slots from the longstanding 500 since Forsaken in 2018. This change reflects Bungie's commitment to accommodating the growing arsenal of weapons and gear that Destiny 2 offers. Strategic Stashing: Preparing for The Final Shape With the new expansion, the need for a pre-launch vault purge is alleviated. Players can now look forward to stowing away new gear without the stress of making space, a stark contrast to the routine clean-up required during regular season updates. For the Veterans: Managing a Full Vault Even with 700 slots, seasoned players juggling multiple classes and their unique Exotic armor pieces might find themselves nearing capacity. Regular armor and weapon collections, including those with various rolls, contribute to a quickly filling vault. Community Tools to the Rescue Managing your vault is made easier with community-developed tools like the Destiny Item Manager (DIM), which allows for efficient tagging and sorting of items. DestinyRecipes also offers a vault-cleaning tool that works in tandem with DIM, streamlining the decluttering process. Looking Ahead: A Smoother Transition The additional vault space is a game-changer, easing the transition into The Final Shape and future updates. While manual deletion of gear remains a task, the extra slots mean less worry about your vault's capacity, though it's still wise to consider a clean-out before new releases. Join the discussion and share how this vault space increase will impact your gameplay strategy in Destiny 2! 🎮

Destiny 2's Innovative Update: Into The Light The popular game Destiny 2 is set to receive a transformative update named 'Into The Light' on April 9, which promises to enhance the player experience significantly. Attunement System: Personalized Weapon Pursuit A notable feature of the update is the introduction of the Attunement system in the new Onslaught mode. This system allows players to increase the drop rate for specific weapons they aim to acquire, offering a more tailored loot chase. Hall of Champions: A New Social Space The update will also unveil the Hall of Champions, a new social space where players can activate the Attunement for their desired weapons from the Brave arsenal, marking a departure from the randomness of previous loot drops. Enhanced Onslaught Mode: A Player-Friendly Approach With the Attunement system, the Onslaught mode becomes a more player-friendly environment, reducing the grind associated with weapon farming and providing a more forgiving experience compared to traditional Vanguard Ops or Gambit runs. Allowing kids to play 18+ games
Uncrowned Guard replied to Bizdustry.com's topic in General Gaming Chat
This is the real problem. We aren't dealing with the real problem. Every study shows that games, movies, music, etc. have little to no effect on a person's behavior and I don't know of any study that has shown games to be more influential than the others mentioned. So what is the push to blame games? Perhaps it is just easier to blame the "new" media forms than to fix communities and cultural norms. -
An upcoming FPS game that appears to be a lit like the Arma and other MilSim based games is coming 2024. IGN got an exclusive access to the game and it looks pretty good, what do you think? Currently the game is coming to Steam and runs on Unreal Engine 5.

I wonder if the success of Helldivers and the like on PC might change this. We can hope!

A Spooky Crossover Event Destiny 2 is setting the stage for an exciting crossover with the Ghostbusters universe, introducing themed cosmetics that will thrill fans of both franchises. As the gaming world anticipates the release of the "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" movie, players of Bungie's popular game will get the chance to immerse themselves in the ghost-hunting adventure. Starting March 19, three days before the film's debut, Destiny 2 will feature a Guardian ship modeled after the iconic Ecto-1 car, a Ghost shell resembling the beloved Slimer, and a Sparrow inspired by the film's main antagonist. Anticipating the Cost While Bungie has yet to disclose the exact price for these Ghostbusters-themed items, historical data from previous collaborations provides some insight. Players can expect the bundle to be priced between 2200 Silver (roughly $20) and 2800 Silver (approximately $30), depending on the contents and potential sales. This pricing strategy aligns with Bungie's approach to past packs, such as those inspired by "The Witcher" and other popular franchises. Unique Among Crossovers The Ghostbusters crossover distinguishes itself from previous Destiny 2 collaborations by drawing inspiration from a movie rather than another video game, setting it apart from the likes of Kratos from "God of War" or elements from "Assassin’s Creed" and "The Witcher." Notably, this collaboration will not include Ghostbuster armor sets, focusing instead on the two vehicles and the Ghost shell. This decision may leave some players longing for a full Proton Pack or Venkman jumpsuit experience, but it still promises to add a fun, thematic layer to the game's expansive universe. As Destiny 2 continues to explore pop culture crossovers, the addition of Ghostbusters-themed cosmetics enriches the game's world with a playful nod to the upcoming film, blending the excitement of ghost hunting with the thrill of interstellar adventure.
