I have a prebuilt right now! What do you all have for gaming?

Hi everyone! I'm Debashis, a gaming enthusiast like all of you, from India! Looking forward to have a good time engaging with the community here! 🙂

If you were taking a break from FPS and shooters in general, what's your favourite genre to play? For me, personally, I love action and adventure games, games that use your mind and require different skills to get through. They're fun and they usually tell a great story. Racing games are fun, as well, particularly games like Forza Horizon, they're very fun! What is your go-to for non-shooters?

If you had to choose one? What would it be? For me it would have to be Gears 5! I love playing this with my friends trying to stop the horde.

This is amazing news. I have just bought a Meta Quest 2 for my kids for Christmas, they have been asking for one for a while and now it seems they will have access to so much more as well 🙂

The Wii U has had most of its great games ported to the Switch at this point, but it has a fantastic library and it's a fun console to play, but there can be no denying that, as a console, it failed miserably by Nintendo standards. Do you think that the Wii U will always be regarded as a flop, or will it be a future classic, respected for what it was in its' time? I think it has a chance to be a future classic. It was a good console, just misnamed and poorly marketed, like the Sega Saturn.

It was a culmination of multiple factors that all added up to its failure: Bad advertising - they focused a lot on advertising backwards compatability with the Wii and also just focused on the tablet controller. Basically people didn't know it was a new console, and just as a tablet add-on for the Wii. Lack of third party support - underpowered compared to PS4/XB1, and the tablet controller didn't help. The poor sales also added to the negative feedback loop from customers and developers. One of the biggest problems was the Wii itself. The Wii caused a lot of damage to Nintendo's image despite the commercial success of it. People probably forgot by now, but the Wii did not have a good reputation with gamers by the end of its life. Nintendo realized it was very appealing to the casual market, and pumped a ton of resources to that. It was also cheap to develop for, so the Wii was notorious for the amount of shovelware. In hindsight, people can remember all the great games they played on the Wii, but forgot the long droughts between the big releases, and in between that, it was party game number 300, or shovelware. So by the time the Wii U came out, people were getting sick of Nintendo. So when the Wii U came out, it wasn't given its own identity. It was heavily reliant on the Wii branding. "Remember the Wii? Rememer the Wii?". So you ended up with one of two extremes: didn't know it was a new console, or: people were pissed that it felt like a continuation of the Wii. So while I say all that, you can see that most of those factors were less to do with the console, and more of outside factors. Ironically, despite the poor sales. The Wii U actually had more higher rated games per capita than the PS4 and Xbox One. Also the Switch ports of the various Wii U games are well liked, and very little tweaking. Though despite a ton of people who owned one actually enjoyed their time on it, the fact that the majority of the library is available on the Switch kind of defeats the purpose of owning the console.

I've only played multiplayer for Halo Infinite and never bought the campaign due to lack of funds and the fact that I prefer Call of Duty over Halo. I'd love to give it a try one day if I ever will be able to again.

Bethesda's Launcher is going away and it appears that their classic games are starting to pop up on Steam for free. We have no official word from any source, so grab them while you can in case it is a mistake. The Elder Scrolls Arena The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

Earlier today reports started to pile in that Twitch had a massive data breach of source code, projects, sensitive information, and all sorts of data were released in a torrent file with over 100GB of data. This breach was released on 4chan and numerous sources started to confirm that items such as earnings reports and previously unknown information were legitimate information. Twitch has come out on Twitter and confirmed the leak happened and that they are trying to figure out how much information was leaked to the public and what account information was released. The Amazon-owned company has been a target of many data breaches in the past and it currently has not been noted to contain login information. However, we would strongly urge all Twitch users to change their passwords and activate two-factor authentication as well for added protection. There seems to be a vast array of internal Twitch tools that were leaked during the breach and this may allow users to bypass current anti-spam and other tools the platform uses to protect streamers. Although no one is quite sure of the damage or the potential misuse the leaked data may produce at this time. There seems to be no word on if any banking information was released, but streamers did confirm on Twitter that the earnings reports were accurate and taking actions to protect your associated bank accounts would be advised until more is known. There are no reports on if this affects anything with Amazon accounts, but it is never a bad idea to change your password and have 2FA activated no matter the reason. The information is already public and being spread out amongst the internet, so please do not wait for confirmation that your account is safe, just take the steps now even if it turns out pointless in the end. I like survival games like Minecraft. I also like game creating platforms like Roblox where I can create my own game. Racing and adventure games are also fine.

I think Call of Duty - Black Ops will always hold a special place in my heart. Many hours were spent playing multiplayer and Zombies.

I like simulation games the best. I played The Sims 2 a lot as a young kid, and it really stuck with me as time went on. My favorite game is still probably The Sims 2, but I am enjoying The Sims 4 a lot as well.

I have a custom built. Sucks that it is so difficult to upgrade right now, but to me, it’s worth waiting for. Just need to find some DDR5…

RTS games are awesome and I might enjoy them more than ever FPS games but there is not much of the pvp stuff I enjoy in RTS games.

The last shooter I truly enjoyed playing was CoD: Modern Warfare, it's a great game with a great solo campaign as well, and classic CoD controls. So much fun! Of the non-traditional variety, BioShock is an unbelievable series of games, not exactly FPS or Third person shooters, but fun and great stories!

I like Mario and Donkey Kong type games the most followed by racing ones, and next, sports ones. I can't really say the type that interests me the least. Well, I was into The Legend of Zelda at one time and I could get into many types of genres if I wanted to.

Nicolas Cage is awesome and any movie or now game to have him is very lucky. This is great news for Dead by Daylight fans. I’m sure he will bring a lot to the role.

I have also been burned out. I am a bit excited about the changes they are making, but... Sledgehammer Games have always made my least favorite CoDs. So it is not high on my list.

I like the idea but it never works well.

It was definitely a reskin of the old game without any viable changes or improvement in the game mechanics. They took a copy of what EA have been doing with their FIFA franchise for years. I'm one of the supporters for getting rid of the loot boxes, if they want to monetize their game, they should look more at Epic Games tactics.

I haven't used an MP4 joiner myself in a while but I do know that there are some out there that work really well and that are great to use. I was very much aware when they released Fall Guys Season 4 but I couldn't get on with playing it. I was very occupied with some other games I was playing then including Fortnite too. From what I heard, with bringing the creative mode to the Ultimate Knockout had a great impact on the game. It was a great copy from Fortnite.

It's a normal thing that can happen to any gamer. It's never a written rule we would all love the same game. Our preferences differ from game to game. The good thing is that there are so many alternatives to choose from and play.

I have noticed over the last few weeks many people moving to another streaming platform called Kick. This streaming platform has a similar layout to Twitch and it also seems to have a lot of viewers. After speaking with some people who I know stream on there about the platform I have found out that they do a similar thing to Twitch where you can reach affiliates and then partner and you have the achievements like you do on Twitch to reach these goals. I also found out that they split the revenue that you make from subs and such 95% for you and 5% to the platform which I believe is the first streaming platform to ever offer a split like that. Have you checked out or tried streaming on Kick? Would you consider trying it?

How do you rate how good Lucio was in the Original Overwatch when compared to how he is in Overwatch 2? He's not all focused on healing in Overwatch 2 but in team wide movement speed boost which is made possible by his Crossfade.

Nintendo did gave a lot more attention and even resources to Nintendo Switch console than they ever did with the Wii U. It's very obvious with how good the Nintendo Switch console came out and with the kind of games available to play on it, it's a beauty. You're even very fortunate to see who was able to take off your Wii U off your hands.

When you think of the Battlefield game that's got the best campaign in the entire franchise, it's definitely Battlefield : Bad Company 2. It's got a lot of unique missions that makes it stand out.

Atari had some strange controllers over time, that is for sure. Not sure if I can beat those, but lately the Steam controller was one of the most unique of the modern controllers.

I have been trying to love 2042, but it is just not going well.
