[Resource] The First Descendant: How Do You Complete Void Fragment Missions?

Recommended Posts

Understanding Void Fragments Missions in The First Descendant

Void Fragments are a special type of mission in The First Descendant. A unique approach is required for these missions, with the main objective being to destroy the Void Fragment. By achieving the mission objective, players earn Void Shards as rewards. Understanding the detailed aspects of Void Fragment missions is crucial for success in the game.

Preparing for Void Fragment Missions

In every Void Fragment mission of The First Descendant, the player must have a Descendant of a certain attribute - this could be Electric or Fire. On the mission overview located on the map, players can check which type of Descendant is needed for the mission. Once the requisite Descendant is equipped, players can embark on the Void Fragment mission.

Destroying Void Fragments

The key to a successful mission is to use the Descendant’s abilities to destroy the Void Fragment. There are three phases to each mission, and each phase comes with its own wave of enemies. Players must eliminate all enemies and successfully destroy the Fragment to earn rewards, primarily Void Shards. The Void Fragment missions are quite dynamic as they regenerate every 20-30 seconds, meaning players can spend a day farming these missions.

Importance of Matching Descendants

It's essential for players to remember that participating in a Void Fragment mission without a matching Descendant will result in not being awarded the associated Void Shards.

Transcendence through Void Shards

Void Shards collected from the Void Fragment missions are utilized for the Void Fusion Reactor Missions. The Void Fusion Reactor doesn’t require a specific Descendant, but it does demand specific Void Shards that can be viewed in the mission overview. More often than not, one run of Void Fusion Reactor requires three runs of Void Fragment missions. Upon collecting enough Void Shards, players can interact with the Fusion Reactor and defeat the spawned commanders.

Getting Transcendent Modules

The primary incentive for running these missions is to acquire Transcendent Modules for the Descendants. Transcendent Modules, such as the Electric Condense for Bunny, offer an array of changes to the character’s skills or mechanics. This lets players explore new playstyles. But getting hands on these elusive Modules might require tons of patience as the drop rates are exceptionally low roughly one or two percent., making them a long grind. Apart from the Modules, players can also open specific Amorphous Materials at the Reconstructed Device that is generated after completing the mission.
