[Resource] Palworld: How Do I Find and Prepare for Sakurajima Island?

Recommended Posts

Introduction

On June 27, 2024, a significant update was released for Palworld by Pocketpair. This update featured a new raid boss, materials, additional Pals, new Pal variants, and several other unique buildings designed to enhance gameplay. The lastest update also included a brand-new area for players to explore, named Sakurajima Island. In line with the game's design philosophy, players have to figure out how to reach this new area using their ingenuity and limited resources.

Finding Sakurajima Island

Finding Sakurajima Island can be a bit of a puzzle, but worry not; you're about to figure it out. You'd need to set out for Forgotten Island or Ice Wind Island first—these are accessible via a fast travel point. If you have never visited either of these areas, you’d have to travel northwest from Windswept Hills, which is the island every new player spawns on. Once you have arrived at one of these fast points, proceed further northwest to the point where all you see ahead is the vast, open waters.

Getting across the water to Sakurajima Island necessitates a specific type of Pal—the mount type. Ideal Pals include Nitewing, Ragnahawk, or Surfent, as they enable either flight or swimming. If you stick with this direction, you’ll first land at the Mushroom Wetlands section of Sakurajima Island.

Preparing for Sakurajima Island

Before you set sail for Sakurajima Island, keep in mind that the island is quite challenging, occupied by high-level Pals who can swiftly deal lethal blows if your level is insufficient. Therefore, it's best to reach at least level 40 before venturing into the wilds of Sakurajima Island. It is also recommended that your Pals should be at level 40 or higher to stand up to the powerful new creatures in this region. You’ll commonly find Pals ranging from level 40 - 45, with some reaching level 50 or higher.

Palworld Availability

Palworld (early access) can be played on multiple gaming platforms such as the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Dive into the visually appealing and action-packed world of Palworld and embark on adventures to places like Sakurajima Island, where you can put your skills to the test.
